As a former wildland firefighter, I can attest this book is as true to script as you could make the job for a children’s book. Great Easter eggs throughout with lessons about being good stewards to the lands and working together as a team. All while written to captivate our younger readers. Animals they’ll love, great illustrations, great rhythmic reading that is easy for parents and has a good pace and movement to keep kiddos attention. Overall a great addition to our nightly read library and I’ll stamp it as firefighter and kid approved. Although my friend, make sure there’s a lady firefighting forest creature in season two. Purdy please :). A smart, witty, efficient, small but tough as nails creature if I could make a request. River otters, Cranes, Ospreys, Bobcats, all great options ;).
